How and when to apply

National Recruitment is delivered by London Deanery and supported by a working group of pathologists from around the country. Histopathology recruitment is innovative and forward-looking; we participated in the national pilot machine-marked test in 2010 (carried out by AoMRC), have been part of the University of Birmingham research project in selection methodology and are currently validating our intensive selection centre in partnership with the Open University.

Foundation Competences

The only acceptable evidence of achievement of Foundation competences, other than a FACD 5.2 certificate issued by a UK Foundation School in the three years preceding commencement of ST1 training, is a correctly signed-off current Alternative Certificate A or B.  Please click on the link to see the London Deanery's guidance on competences.
