Supplementary Information
Clinical Meetings
All trainees will be expected to attend clinico-pathological and multidisciplinary team meetings, both in Buckinghamshire and during specialist attachments at Oxford. Trainees will also be encouraged to present their own cases at these meetings, where appropriate. Trainees will also be able to attend departmental and directorate management and business meetings.
Audit and Research
All trainees will be expected to complete audit and research projects, both in Buckinghamshire and Oxford. Original research is especially encouraged in the sub-specialist atmosphere of reporting at Oxford.
Learning Opportunities
In addition to regular clinical meetings and the apprenticeship-style training offered by the departments in Buckinghamshire, other training opportunities will be available:
- Regular interesting case (black box) meetings
- Journal club meetings
- Nine teaching days based at Oxford
Joint training sessions with the other Schools in the Southern cluster (Bristol and Southampton)
