Thames
What's different about Thames? In most of the other schools in the country all the Year 1 run-through trainees are based in one Department. Thames has a collegiate model allowing Year 1 run-through trainees to be encorporated in pairs into each training Department becoming an integral part of the diagnostic team early on. In addition to the learning opportunities outlined below Thames is rolling out a program of Integrated on-line learning covering several aspects of Histopathology to augment more traditional teaching methods.
Geography
The Thames school is the
largest in the country with 24 Year 1 run-through trainee posts.
Most of the training centres are in London from Harrow to King's
College while there are three centres in Kent Surrey and Sussex all
easily accessible by train.
Medical Schools
Several of the school sites are world famous Medical Schools with diverse specialty diagnostic and research interests within the Histopathology Departments.
