Wales - Cardiff

Cardiff is a fantastic place to work, and has an excellent training school. The training programme is very structured, with a large amount of teaching incorporated into our timetable. The training is organised so that we spend given weeks in certain areas of pathology - for example, doing surgicals, post mortems, cytology, paediatrics or neuropathology. This is an excellent way to learn as ait means we can really focus on a given aspect of pathology at any one time. Welsh trainees spend all of their time working in hospitals in South Wales. All of the DGHs have attachments and are within commuting distance of Cardiff, so they can have a base in the city and never have to worry about relocating.
